Caring for a parent in Toronto often means juggling work, a commute and a city that never slows down. SLR sends a personal support worker to the home on a regular schedule, so your loved one has a familiar face and you have one less thing to coordinate.
We serve every neighbourhood in the city. If you're not sure we reach your street, just call and we'll tell you straight away.

What our caregivers help with
- Personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and help moving safely around the home.
- Companionship: conversation, activities, outings, and company at appointments.
- Home making: meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping and errands.
- Medication reminders: a prompt at the right time, so doses aren't missed or doubled.
- Respite and overnight support: a break for a family carer, or someone there through nights that aren't safe alone.
- Specialised support: for people living with dementia, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, or recovering from a stroke.
Care can be a few hours a week or round-the-clock support, and one-off visits are available too.
How it works
- A free assessment. We visit, listen, and tell you honestly what would help, and what wouldn't.
- We match a caregiver. Matched to the person, not just the schedule. You meet them before care starts.
- The same face, every visit. Continuity by design, so you never have to explain the routine twice.

SLR provides personal support, not nursing. We don't give injections, do wound care or administer medication, and we don't provide occupational, physio or speech therapy. If you need those, we'll tell you plainly and help you find a registered professional.

Yes, all neighbourhoods, including Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, East York, York and downtown.
Can private care work alongside government-funded home care?
Yes. Many families add private hours on top of the visits they already receive through Ontario Health atHome, for example to cover evenings, weekends or a longer visit.
Do you accept WSIB and auto-insurance claims?
Yes, WSIB and auto-insurance claims are accepted. Ask about your situation during your free assessment.
How soon can care start?
It starts with a free assessment. Once we understand what's needed, we match a caregiver and you meet them before care begins. Call us and we'll talk through timing for your situation.
